UPDATED WEEKEND FORECAST:  Wet Times Next Several Day

Your weekend plans could be affected from time to time by showers,. and maybe some thunderstorms.  In fact, this parade of storm systems will keep us wet at times through mid-week.  This may go along way to help our drought situation.  Be flexible with your Mardi Grad weekend plans.

TODAY:    Increasing clouds.  Showers in south Alabama will migrate northward during the day and in through the evening.  Future radar gives you an idea on how the day will play out. This loop takes you through 11PM tonight.

NEXT FEW DAYS:   Wet at times, next several days.  In fact, the better rain chances will be Saturday through Monday.  There will be some thunderstorms around, too.  But, in general no severe weather is expected, except perhaps near the coast on Saturday, where the Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk.  Meanwhile it is a very spring-like forecast here in “the dead of winter”  We’ll enjoy the milder temperatures for sure.  Winter will be back some day.

Marginal Severe weather risk mainly confined to the Gulf Coast Saturday.

HOW MUCH RAIN:  Total rainfall amounts could be quite impressive indeed.  In fact some spots could see well over 3 inches in the next 7 days.

I’ll keep you updated from the road.  Thanks for all your nice messages, as our family deals with these difficult days following the unexpected passing of my brother Dennis. Means a lot to me.  On behalf of my family, thank you.
